In a new press release, the payments titan says the collaboration will allow customers in the US and EU to use eligible Visa debit cards to instantly deposit funds into their Coinbase accounts, bridging the gap between traditional finance and digital assets.
“By integrating with the Visa Direct network, Coinbase customers will be able to deposit funds into their Coinbase account in real-time using eligible Visa debit cards.

Visa Direct delivers quick and secure money movement and further helps to bridge the gap between traditional finance and blockchain technologies, helping to minimize waiting periods for fund availability.”
Using Visa Direct, customers can also purchase digital assets directly using their debit cards as well as cash out funds to a bank account.
As stated by Akash Shah, senior director of product management at Coinbase, in the press release,
“Bringing this feature to our customers supports our mission of increasing economic freedom in the world. The integration with Visa Direct gives our eligible customers real-time access to their funds for trading.
